Report on Testing of different oils and creams RELAXA AROMATHERAPY "COM VεV” Ltd.

The testing was carried out in the Republican Dermatovenerologic Dispensary, Chisinau

The goal of the research: evaluation of the effectiveness, safety profile and tolerance to various types of oils and creams within the complex treatment of patients with the following diseases: greasy skin, acne, seborrhoeic dermatitis, dry, aging and irritated skin, alopecia areata.

Contraindication to carry out the treatment was considered to be individual intolerance to different cream and oil components.

Material and methods. A total of 140 patients aged 18 to 59 years old participated in the research. The patients were classified according to the diagnosis as follows:

greasy skin, acne – 20 patients;
seborrhoeic dermatitis, dry, aging and irritated skin – 20 patients;
alopecia – 20 patients;
aging skin with pronounced wrinkles and pigment spots – 20 patients.

anticellulite massage oil - 20 patients;
anticellulite body scrub – 20 patients.
Thus, patients have been divided into the following groups:

First group: 20 patients with alopecia of different origin (seborrhoea, alopecia areata, dry, split hairs) were using hair oil which contains the following components: Jojoba, Ylang-ylang, lemon, black pepper. Method of application: they were applying the oil by rubbing it for two hours, and then they were washing it away, treatment schedule – 14-28 days.

Second group. Cleansing oil was prescribed for 20 patients who had greasy or combination skin combined with acne. The oil contains grape seeds (containing vitamin С, В, В2, В6, В12, К, Р, РР, Е complex), bergamot and patchouli. In the morning and evening the patients were applying a small amount of oil on the face and neck by making easy massaging movements. A small amount of oil was applied in the morning and evening on the face and neck with easy massaging movements and 2 hours later the cream was removed with wet cotton pads, the treatment was carried out during 14-28 days.

Third group.20 patients with seborrhoeic dermatitis, dry, irritated skin were prescribed anti-wrinkle oilcontaining avocado, Ylang-ylang, grapefruit, which they were applying everyday in the form of massage on face and eyelid, as well as on the skin under eyes and around the lips during 15-30 days.

Fourth group. 20 patients who have aging skin with pronounced wrinkles and pigment spots were using Shi cream for face containing Shea oil, apricot oil, wheat germ oil, Palma Rosa essentialoil. Treatment schedule – 15-30 days.

Fifth group. 20 patients with problem skin after rapid weight loss with stretch marks were prescribed anti-cellulite oil against stretch marks containing wheat germs, patchouli and grapefruit (vitamins А, Е, В1, В2), which they were applying 2-3 times per day in the form of circular massage. Treatment schedule – 15-30 days.

Sixth group. 20 patients with cellulite were applying 2-3 times per day anti-cellulite body oil in the form of massage containing grape seeds and grapefruit in the form of gentle massage. Treatment schedule – 15-30 days.

Seventh group. 20 patients were using anti-cellulite scrub “Tonus” for body in the form of gentle massage which contains grape seeds and which is designed for deep cleaning of the skin, its rejuvenation, removal of wrinkles, prevention of stretch marks. It is also rich in vitamins C, B2, B6, B12, K, P, PP, E. Treatment schedule - 15-30 days.

Evaluation of clinical response was carried out on the basis of decrease in activity and prevalence of the process, and namely, resolution of cutaneous manifestations, minimal intensity of the symptoms, medium intensity, and maximal intensity of the symptoms.

Effectiveness of the testingwas evaluated as clinical recovery, significant clinical improvement, improvement, without effect.

The undesirable effects (itching, exacerbation of the process, overdried skin, swelling, erythema, oedema, idiosyncrasy) were taken into account for analysis of tolerance and safety which was ultimately marked as - excellent, good, satisfactory, poor tolerance.

Results. Evaluation of clinical effectiveness and testing effectiveness by the groups were distributed as follows:

1) First groupwhich used hair oil:

Significant improvement (minimal intensity of the symptoms) – (6 cases) 30%;
Improvement (medium intensity of the symptoms) – (11 cases) 55%;
No effect (maximal intensity of the symptoms) – (3 cases) 15%.
Tolerance to hair oil in most cases was reported as good

2) Second groupwhich used cleansing oil:

Significant improvement (minimal intensity of the symptoms) – (14 cases) 70%;
Improvement (medium intensity of the symptoms) – (6 cases) 30%;
Tolerance to cleansing oilin most cases was reported as excellent

3) Third group which used anti-wrinkle oil:

Significant improvement (minimal intensity of the symptoms) – (6 cases) 30%;
Improvement (medium intensity of the symptoms) – (9 cases) 45%;
No effect (maximal intensity of the symptoms) – (5 cases) 25%.
Tolerance to anti-wrinkle oilin most cases was reported as good.

4) Fourth groupwhich used Shea oil:

Significant improvement (minimal intensity of the symptoms) – (7 cases) 35%;
Improvement (medium intensity of the symptoms) – (9 cases) 45%;
No effect (maximal intensity of the symptoms) – (4 cases) 20%.
Tolerance to Shea oilin most cases was reported as good.

5) Fifth group which used anti-cellulite oil against stretch marks:

Significant improvement (minimal intensity of the symptoms) – (5 cases) 25%;
Improvement (medium intensity of the symptoms) – (8 cases) 40%;
No effect (maximal intensity of the symptoms) – (7 cases) 35%.
Tolerance to anti-cellulite oil against stretch marksin most cases was reported as good.

6) Sixth group which used anti-cellulite oil for body in the form of massage

Significant improvement (minimal intensity of the symptoms) – (5 cases) 25%
Improvement (medium intensity of the symptoms) – (7 cases)35%;
No effect (maximal intensity of the symptoms) – (8 cases) 4Tolerance to anti-cellulite body oil in most cases was reported as good

7) Seventh group which used anti-cellulite scrub “Tonus” for body in the form of gentle massage:

Significant improvement (minimal intensity of the symptoms) – (6 cases) 30%;
Improvement (medium intensity of the symptoms) – (12 cases) 60%;
No effect (maximal intensity of the symptoms) – (2 cases) 10%
Tolerance to anti-cellulite scrub “Tonus” in most cases was reported as good.

Thus, the highest effectiveness was achieved among patients with greasy and combination skin in combination with acne who used cleansing oil, among patients with alopecia of different origin who used hair oil as well as anti-cellulite scrub “Tonus”.

Overall effectiveness indicator of hair oils and cleansing oils made up (significant improvement/improvement) from 60 to 100%. The effectiveness indicators of anti-wrinkle oil and Shea oil made up 75-80%. As for 5, 6, and 7 groups of patients, their effectiveness indicator made up (significant improvement/improvement) 60-90%.

The received data indicate a fairly good effectiveness and tolerance to different oils RELAXA AROMATHERAPY «COM VεV” Ltd., which contain natural products, vitamins, favourably affecting the recovery of turgor and elasticity of the skin, wrinkles smoothing, pigment spots blanching, hair growth increase.

Thus, hair oil containing Jojoba, Ylang-ylang, lemon, black pepper can be recommended in the complex treatment of various types of hair loss, including alopecia areata. The oil should be recommended to patients with dyed hair, with burnt hair from the perm and split hair, as well as to normalize sebaceous gland secretion and against dandruff. As a makeup remover it should be successfully recommended the appropriate oil, which can be applied on all parts of the face and neck. Attention should be paid to a good anti-inflammatory effect of this oil.

Anti-wrinkle oilcontaining avocado, Ylang-ylang and grapefruit helps the skin of different types to handle the consequences of skin dehydration and aging; facial Shea cream, rich with Shea oil, consolidates the skin structure,tones up the skin and improves its elasticity, while apricot oil, wheat germ oil and Palma Rosa essentialoil have a pronounced moisturizing effect and decrease, making the skin healthy and shining. Prescription of anti-cellulite oil against stretch marks which contains wheat germs,patchouli and grapefruit (vitamins А, Е, В1, В2), anti-cellulite body oil which contains grape seeds and grapefruit, as well as anti-cellulite scrub “Tonus” for body in the form of gentle massage, favouringintensification of blood circulation, lymph outflow and metabolism, make the skin more elastic and eve, remove the symptom of “orange peel”, decrease the number of stretch marks.
